Orange County Shorinji Kempo is a Non-Profit Martial Arts Center located in Huntington Beach, California. Our focus is on educating our students in the philosophical, technical, and ethical aspects of Shorinji Kempo.
Shorinji Kempo was created as a discipline (gyo 行) to cultivate a person to “gain confidence, courage, and vigor, and to nurture a spirit of compassion and a sense of justice” through the education of its technical practice; and when grouped together, we consider these qualities true strength (WSKO 8). Through the gyo of Shorinji Kempo, a student can be educated to gain these three benefits: Self Defense, Improved Health and Mental Cultivation.
Our sessions are held on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and open to any student, kids or adults who are interested in learning the art of Shorinji Kempo. Call us or visit our website for more information on what our studio has to offer to you or your child.
