No experience necessary and not a riding camp. Bring a snack and lots of water. We are on a real farm so wear real boots as well as a hat and jeans as we will be mostly outside and sometimes inside. The Good Earth Farm, home of the Chocolate Chip Animal Rescue, is a non-profit organization founded to rescue large animals and work with children and families to educate and restore the animals back to emotional and physical health. We also offer animal assisted therapies with kids and adults.
Currently we have over 250 animals to enjoy at our zoo and host birthday parties, camp and events during the year. Our zoo is open to the public on Sundays from 10 to 1 starting October 6, 2019 to April 12, 2020. Pony rides, petting zoo and hayrides are available.
Horsey Artsey Camp 2019
Taught by Nancy Fried, certified horse specialist and 4H leader of 26 years, our camp is held every Sunday in June and July 2019 and includes playing and training mini horses to jump and do eventing. We will teach your child to care, groom, wash and feed the mini horses. Our camp also includes learning how to draw, paint and use pastels to draw the animals on the farm and students will receive horse project books and horsey homework.
