About the Crash Course
Aerial Kiteboarding will provide a 1-hour instructional video, provided to each student upon their booking, that can be studied as much as necessary to get familiar with essential Kiteboarding safety topics such as wind awareness, location assessment, gear set-up, safety systems and more. For the remaining 3 hours of instruction, IKO-certified Aerial Kiteboarding Instructors take students to the mouth of the Squamish River for hands-on, boat assisted, kiteboarding instruction. Using a power kite, students will develop their basic and advanced kite piloting skills such as body dragging, power strokes and riding. Progression is based on skill level, students are required to demonstrate proficiency in each level prior to moving on to the next.
