At Bujinkan Family Dojo located in Portland, Oregon, we study the art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu, also more commonly known as ninjutsu. Bujinkan Budo is an ancient Japanese martial art, steeped in centuries of fighting traditions utilized by the Samurai and Ninja of feudal Japan. It continues to be practiced as a living martial art under the guidance of Grandmaster Dr. Massaki Hatsumi. This class will cover a wide variety of techniques both martial and personal and will ultimately offer the student a chance to become more aware of their surroundings and of themselves. The techniques do more than just teach effective self-defense, they teach effective everyday living. It should also be noted that, due to the effectiveness of the techniques and how they are applied, there is absolutely no sport application for this art.
